IN PERSON WORKSHOP

Join me at my home/studio in Peckham, London for a block printing session

from 11am-3.30pm

on Saturday 23rd March 2024

Firstly, we will look at examples of Indian block printed fabrics from my own personal collection and explore artists and designers who have helped to infulence my own practice and technique.

Then together we will go through each stage of the block printing process. You will have the chance to carve your own linoleum block design, which you will use to explore and develop your own pattern repeat. You will have a chance to twist and turn the block to play with your repeat before finally printing. This workshop provides a creative approach to pattern.

You will come away from this session with knowledge of the fabrics and inks involved in the block printing process and a length of your very own hand block printed design onto a natural linen fabric.

All materials included.

Suitable for beginners, everyones welcome.

Please bring your own packed lunch. Light refreshements will be provided throughout the day, tea and cake.
