Tidal Bag | Natural dyed & Hand block printed | Iron Black
Tidal Bag | Naturally dyed & Hand Block Printed
Limited edition of 10
These bags have been made from the remenants of my most recent throws and because of this I only have a few avaliable.
They have been printed using natural dyes and onto beautifully soft and strong organic cotton. I have working closely with printers (Chippas) in Rajasthan, India where a very small quantity of these bags have been hand block printed. Jaipur is somewhere I have spent time over the years and is close to my heart and is one of the main areas in India which still prints using the traditional block printing process.
The process. Block printing is a technique that involves transferring designs and patterns onto fabric. A block is covered in dye this is then pressed onto the fabric - this can be then repeated over the entire surface of the fabric to create a pattern repeat.
The dyes. Traditional colours used in Indian block printing. Iron (Syahi) and Harda.
The Material. Hand block Printed using natural dyes Iron onto 100% Organic Cotton
Fully Lined. Using naturally dyed 100% organic cotton using an Iron dye.
Measurements. aprox 50cm x 40cm.
Hand Block Printed. The wonderful nuances of hand block printing mean that your bag will be unique and be perfectly imperfect throughout.
Care. Due to the natural dye process - Dry clean only is reccomended.
Origin. Hand-block Printed in India, designed in England
Variations/unevenness of print and marks from the natural dye process should not be considered a defect.
I hope this bag is practical, useful and beautiful to you, and will last you a long time.
