A little summary of the Block Printing Workshop…

Workshops take place at my home/studio in Peckham, London from 11am-4pm

Firstly, we will look at examples of Indian block printed fabrics from my own personal collection and explore artists and designers who have helped to influence my own practice and technique.

Together we go through each stage of the block printing process. Your gifted person will have the chance to carve your own linoleum block design, which they will use to explore and develop your own pattern repeat. They will have a chance to twist and turn the block to play with your repeat before finally printing.

They will come away from this session with knowledge of the fabrics and inks involved in the block printing process and a length of your very own hand block printed design onto a natural linen fabric.

All materials included.

This workshop provides a creative approach to pattern.
